The Village Preserving the Past
From Euljiro 4-ga to Bukjeong Village in Seoul, South Korea
In the midst of everything modernizing at a rapid pace, one day I found myself walking the streets in awe of the speed of modernization. Skyscrapers soared high, and modern-designed shops adorned the city center. Amidst all the efficiency and modernity, there was a small village that preserved its old charm.
The village seemed like a place where time had stood still. Old wooden houses covered in mud, and stone-walled roads exuded a different atmosphere compared to modern roads.
Perhaps, amidst the rapd modernization, there should be places that can harmoniously blend the beauty of the past with the convenience of the present. I felt that even as the world advances, it's crucial to cherish and preserve the nostalgia of the past in order to lead a more fulfilling life.
